“When writing training plans, avoid the trap of multiple platforms.”

Training Plans for Runners
For every major race that I have coveted, I have documented my journey, and adhered to it throughout my training journey. Today, I share my experience and best practices I have learned along the way. Wether you are just getting started as a new runner, or putting together plans to run your first 5k, creating a solid training plan is important. Your plan, wether you document it on paper or use an application supported by your wearable, must be clear, concise, and and easy to create.
In today’s livestream, I walk the audience through my own process for creating strategic plans using Garmin Connect. I also quickly review how this might be done via Strava and Training Peaks. One thing I have learned most recently is to keep things simple. You do not need multiple systems to record your data and/or create training plans. Keep it simple to avoid being overwhelmed. If the tool is not useful, you should not use it, especially if it comes at a cost.
