“Embrace your own journey with compassion and understanding.”
Guest – Tim Van Orden
On today’s show, we are honoured to sit down with author, athlete and raw food vegan, Tim Van Orden. Tim and I discuss the personal challenges encountered in any personal transformation journey. We also confront the dangers of fully embracing a plant-based identity as a form of public recognition.
Masters Runner and Snowshoe Racer
For many, approaching middle age shocks us into several realizations, provided we are willing to listen. Starting at the age of 38, Tim stepped into the next phase of his life as a runner, catapulting himself from enthusiast to American Mountain Runner of the Year – 2010, in the Masters category. But it does not stop there! Tim has recently gotten into snow shoe racing, and is currently the race director for Dion Snowshoes in preparation for the U.S. National Snowshoe Championships.
Tim’s Latest Book
I hope you enjoy our interview with Tim today. Tim is one of the warmest and engaging individuals I have had the honour to get to know in digital space. When I first was considering transitioning to a plant based diet, Tim’s Youtube videos were very inspiring. Everything he writes and produces is done with thoughtfulness.
Don’t forget to check out Tim’s book, “A Compassionate Approach – Gentle Steps for Hard Times.”
