Our Mission
Finding My Psych promotes wellness through evidence-based clinical practice and research in Health Psychology and Behavioural Medicine. Through our regularly published articles and podcast episodes, we seek and promote an in-depth understanding of the psychological, behavioural, and cultural factors contributing to lifelong health and wellness.
Founding Principles
Each individual must design their own path towards lifelong wellness, taking into account our individual physiology, goals, and emotional needs. Based on our experience at Finding My Psych, the following three principles guide our content, each focused on promoting optimal wellbeing.
- Regular Physical Activity: Wellness is impacted by the quantity and quality of physical activity we engage in on a regular basis. Optimizing our health requires that we put our body in motion doing activities that are both feel both challenging and rewarding.
- Plant-Based Living: You can’t outrun a bad diet. We promote the adoption of a plant-based diet with special attention to the macro and micro nutrients needed for lifelong wellness.
- Longevity Through Recovery: A life dedicated to recovery through abstinence, or the adoption of a controlled use framework, supports your physical, emotional, and spiritual gains. The less we use substances, the more visible our path.
